Professional Pavement Products Champions Local Entrepreneurs' Organization Event
The Entrepreneurs' Organization (EO) helps members understand their unique characteristics and how to harness their power to become better leaders, said Greg Driskell, who shared his considerable experience with like-minded professional entrepreneurs gathered in Jacksonville, Florida on May 20:
“Finally I have found an organization that gets who I am and how I think,” said Driskell in a subsequent interview. He is president of Jacksonville-based Professional Pavement Products. The company is a leading provider of roadway construction and maintenance products.

The event of the international Entrepreneurs' Organization was hosted by Brumos Motor Cars in its private automobile museum. “It was a very special privilege to be allowed to see this extensive private collection of some of the most incredible automobiles in the world,” said Driskell who partnered in organizing and hosting this meeting of the North Florida EO chapter. “This event lived up to the elite reputation of EO.”
Entrepreneur's Organization
EO is a global network of more than 7,300 business owners in 42 countries. Sales of members worldwide total more than $111 billion and members employ more than 1.2 million workers. It is the only organization designed exclusively for the entrepreneur. “This is an organization specifically dedicated to the needs of entrepreneurs using an experience sharing process that helps improve both your company and yourself,” said Driskell.
He is a board member and co-chair of membership for the North Florida EO.
As a speaker at the North Florida event Driskell wove a complex tapestry of the conflicting personality traits that make up a successful entrepreneur.
“I enjoyed the opportunity to speak to my peers and I love talking to up-and-coming entrepreneurs about what it means to be an entrepreneur,” said Driskell. “The traits that make us successful are also the traits that can make us difficult, ask my wife.” he chuckled. “Those are problems that EO understands.”
Visionaries Take the Lead
“The future is in the hands of entrepreneurs,” Driskell said. “In upcoming years it will be up to us as entrepreneurs not only to create companies but entirely new economies, a challenge that we welcome.”
It is said that getting the focus of a room of entrepreneurs is like herding cats. But even with that, he brought the crowd to a hush and then a roar, ending his speech with:
“As an entrepreneur I realize that my success is not based on what I have done but on who I am...and...I am an entrepreneur!”
Driskell had no reservations about advising others to make the decision to join EO “I recommend that any entrepreneur who meets the qualifications of this organization and shares our ambition to become a better leader to join.”
Driskell attributed the success of the May event to the hard work of fellow members and gracious hospitality of Brumos. whose president Charlie Tomm was the keynote speaker.
Driskell has spent nearly 20 years in the pavement industry as both contractors in the early days and supplier for the last 16 years. With its focus on products, service and knowledge, Professional Pavement Products offers more than 700 pavement maintenance and construction products through six outlets in the southeast and Texas.
Greg Driskell also owns other pavement industry related business management companies.
