PPP President Selected to Speak at the 2011 National Pavement Expo

Professional Pavement Product's President Greg Driskell has been invited to host a seminar at the National Pavement Expo East next winter. He will be speaking on the basics of materials, application and inspection of hot melt thermoplastic. Newcomers to the industry and long-time professionals will have a chance to upgrade their skills in this information packed event.
The exposition has long been a centerpiece in Driskell's business strategy. “Last year I took all six of our location managers to the National Pavement Expo for training.”
Driskell himself will be both a presenter and student. “I find the expos not only great to view and display industry products, but also a great platform to learn and teach from. The expo gives us the opportunity to both exercise and expand our industry knowledge.”
That's no small feat given Driskell's 20 years of experience as a contractor early on and now as a supplier. His expertise is widely recognized and he is a frequent speaker at industry events including providing workshops at government Departments of Transportation.
“Some people have teasingly asked me how much the 'ad' cost us,” said Driskell. “Nothing in direct dollars, but an incredible amount has been committed in time, travel and participation over the past 20 years.”
Professional Pavement Products is a leading provider of maintenance and construction products for the improvement of safety and effectiveness of roadway and parking areas. It is the largest independent Sealcoat supplier in the country and the exclusive supplier of the Medallion line pavement maintenance and marking products.
In its 14th year, the company provides 700 plus pavement maintenance and construction products. These products are distributed through three regional centers in Charlotte, N.C., Jacksonville, Fla., and Houston, Tex., and three branches in Raleigh, N.C., Orlando, Fla., and Miami, Fla.
Driskell also owns industry-related business management and manufacturing companies.
He sees this invitation as both an honor and an opportunity to enhance information industry-wide.
“I urge our customers and others involved in roadway safety and paving to begin to plan for this important event,”
